Good Afternoon! We have several important things going on this week, so I wanted to remind you of them all:
- Since we have had so many absences, Flower Power fundraiser has been extended until this Wednesday. All money and orders MUST be turned in by Wednesday morning.
- We will have the Aesop Fables program on Thursday afternoon at 1:00. For your child to attend this, you must send $3 to school by Thursday morning. Please send in an envelope with your child's name and Aesop Fables on the outside.
-This is the last week we will take Red Cross donations. For every dollar donated, that child will get one foot of duct tape to tape Mr. Waits to the gym wall. For every $5 your child donates, they will get a week off Reading Homework (the weekly reading passage) in my class.
I know it seems like all we are asking for is MONEY, MONEY, MONEY, and I understand that some may not be able to donate or buy as much as others, or any at all. Please know that we are only doing this to help our school and community. The money raised from the Flower Power sale will all go to the new playground. Since we did such a great job raising money for the Haiti Relief through the Red Cross, we were asked to help raise money for the local Red Cross fund. This money goes locally to help those around the Etowah County area who may have a disaster, like a house fire, etc. So with that said, we do really appreciate all you and the Mitchell families do to help our school and community.
We will have a teacher inservice day on Friday, March 12, so you may start your Spring Break vacation early! Please watch for important papers, and be sure to do all homework this week. Hopefully we will all get and stay well!
